The Snaefellsnes Peninsula
Snaefellsnes, the western peninsula, is a unique area with the beautiful glacier Snaefellsjokull. The cone-shaped, ice covered strato-volcano is believed to have mystical powers.
Among places that we visit are the rural church at Budir and Arnarstapi, where a short stroll
along the coastal cliffs gives us access to the rich birdlife and other wonders of nature. At Djupalonssandur, a short stroll takes us to the basaltic pebble beach, framed
with strange lava formations.
The tour takes around 10 hours and is available from May through September.
