Hello Jens,
On September 27, 2010, 12 of us from USA get off our cruise ship, NCL Sun to take a full day Golden Circle and Reykjavik city tour with Fun Travel of Iceland. We booked this tour in advance with Jens at www.funtravel.is. His 17-seat mini-bus is comfortable. Jens is a local man, well educated. He speaks very good English.
Jens took us to the city center first. He high light the city with a short walking. He then drove us to a church in the city, and the famous Pearl´s vantage point. Where provides a beautiful 360 degree view of the city.
We went to the "Big Three", Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site after the city tour. Collectively known as the Golden Circle and provides a look at some of the scenic wonders Iceland is renowned for.
With the help from Jens´ deep knowledge of his beautiful country, and small size group, everyone had enough time and opportunity to ask questions. Not to mention to get personal attention from Jens.
Jens charges a very reasonable rate for the tour. He even accepts US Dollars for our payment of his tour, which is a big help for all of us. All of us had an unforgettable day in Iceland. I wish we could stay there for a few more days. My wife and I will go back there, maybe by another cruise ship in the future. We will need Jens help again.

Golden Circle Tour, August 2010.
Hi Jens,
Jens is the best guide and driver we can recommend to do a tour through Iceland. And always on time and flexible. We (a group of 11 men) tested Jens during a day tour through the countryside to his limits, but he stayed calm and relaxed. During the Golden Circle Tour he gave us a lot of information and more than that: he could answer all the questions we asked him. And we had lots of questions during this more than 12 hour trip. High point of the trip was drinking beer and snaps near a waterfall while eating pieces of rotten shark. Jens told us this was an old Icelandic tradition, it tasted like hell, but anyway an interesting and funny experience. Later on we had lobster on the coast. This tasted a lot better. The trip with Jens through beautiful Iceland we will never forget.

Before we set off on our trip to the Arctic in June , you were extremely prompt and helpful in our e mail contacts with you. On the appointed day you picked us up at our apartment on time and took us on a superb tour, your descriptions of the countryside and it's history were clear and fascinating. We were especially interested in the site of the world's first "parliament " in the Rift Valley in the year 930 AD. The value of your tour for the 4 of us was quite exceptional compared with what else is available.

We went to Reykjavik in June 2009 and had a wonderful stay. One day we went on the "Golden circle tour" with Fun Travel. It was great! We are a family of 7 people and it was a good to have one car to ourselves. Jens welcomed us outside the appartment house we were staying, and he had organised a child seat for our little girl. He answered all our questions and we enjoyed the tour a lot. We would love to do it again and of course we recommend Fun Travel.

Hello Jens,
Jens was there when we disembark from the cruise. Rapidly he took us on charge to visit Reykjavik and after to do the Golden Circle circuit. He spent all the day with us and this guide has flexibility to adjust. We evaluate that we saw more than the offered tour sold on the ship and we were only four in his shuttle. I am a retired professor and I can recognize somebody who is educated. Jens gives specific details and can afford the Icelandic reality with an historic approach. In addition, it is very easy to understand his spoken English and that was important for us because we are French speaking people.
Jens était là lorsque nous avons débarqué du bateau. Rapidement, il nous a pris en charge pour visiter Reykjavik et ensuite pour faire le circuit Golden Circle. Il a passé toute la journée avec nous et ce guide fait preuve de flexibilité pour s´ajuster aux situations. Nous estimons que nous avons vu plus de choses avec lui que le tour offert sur le bateau et nous étions seulement quatre personnes dans son grand véhicule. Je suis un professeur retraité et je peux reconnaître une personne véritablement instruite par sa façon de s´exprimer. Jens donne des détails précis et aborde la réalité islandaise avec une approche historique, le tout avec facilité. Par surcroit, son anglais parlé est très facile à comprendre et cela était important pour nous puisque nous sommes francophones.

The Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon tour was the highlight of our short trip to Iceland, we all enjoyed it very much.
Personally I would like to thank you for always replying e-mails promptly, and for offering a much better price than other companies, which even included the entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon.
Everything was wonderful! Especially: staying on schedule by the minute, stopping also in other places in addition to the ones in the schedule, there was plenty of time for taking photographs etc. It was also nice that there was just the right amount of commentary for me to stay focused on listening. It was a very rewarding trip and it will be nice to think back on.

At the end of March we were in Iceland for a short stay. As it was our first time we wanted to have a good idea about Iceland outside Reykjavik (especially experiencing the mighty landscape).
